Douglas da Silva Nobre is a screenwriter and director with a degree in Film and Audiovisual Studies from the University of Fortaleza (Unifor). He works primarily in fiction and documentary productions, with films screened and awarded at national festivals. He wrote the documentary Saudade dos Leões, selected for the 31st Cine Ceará Film Festival and awarded at the 20th NOIA Festival. He also wrote and directed the fiction short film Ponto-Cruz, which won Best Short Film at the 23rd NOIA Festival and Best University Short Film at the 1st CUCA Festival. He has participated in writers’ rooms and audiovisual development labs, including a transmedia science fiction project led by Clarice Siqueira and the Short Fiction Screenwriting Workshop at the Porto Iracema das Artes School, as part of the Porto MIS Ciné Fabrique 2024 program with the project Morto a Preço de Banana. In 2025, he returned to the workshop with the project Garoto Cajuína. He created and led the writers’ room for the audio series Furacão Harpia, which took part in the Podcast Development Group #5 of the Marieta Project. In his author-driven work, he develops narratives that move between the everyday, the absurd, and the sensitive, with a strong interest in stories that explore human relationships, memory, and the fantastic imaginary. He is currently developing original projects and collaborating on audiovisual productions in Ceará, Brazil.
