Crowned as Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2017, she represented Indonesia at the Miss Supranational 2017 pageant. Born to a mother of Minangkabau-Dutch descent, Jumaini Weissheimer, and raised by her stepfather, Lukius Niab, from the traditional Timorese tribe, Karina decided to pursue a career in beauty pageantry, modeling, and makeup content creation at the age of seventeen.
