Tatyana Chekhova was born in Minsk, Belorussian SSR, USSR. A distant relative of the famous Russian actor Mikhail Chekhov. She got her first role at the age of 14 at the Moscow Vakhtangov Theater. On the stage of this theater, she played in the plays "The Master and Margarita", "War and Peace", "Winter Nights", "The Death of Paul the First", "The Seagull", while simultaneously receiving an acting education at the Shchukin School. In 1989, she graduated from the Shchukin Higher Theater School (course of L. Kalinovsky and Yu. Stromov). For several years she was an actress at the Ruben Simonov Moscow Drama Theater. In 1992, she emigrated to Canada, where she received an education in graphic design. Now she lives and works in the United States with her husband, actor Dmitri Budrin. She starred in several dozen films and TV series (the most famous being "The X-Files"), and also acted as a producer of several films.
