Born 1928-01-01 · Died 1996-04-17
Stratos Pahis was born in 1928. A small and thin figure, who “wrote” discreetly but essentially in numerous small roles on the screen - especially in the films of Theodore Angelopoulos - as well as on the stage. This veteran character actor had previously played at the Art Theater, the National Theater, as well as in independent theater. His last appearance was in 1995 at the “Akadimos” theater together with Dimitris Piatas in “A Fool and a Half” by Psathas, where he played the president of the court. In the traveling theater group of Theodoros Angelopoulos' ambitious film "The Troupe", we remember him as a touching refugee from Asia Minor, but also as Agamemnon alongside Aliki Georgouli-Clytemnestra and Eva Kotamanidou-Electra. And even in characteristic scenes in "The Hunters" and "Landscape in the Mist". A consistent professional, a kindly melancholic, modest, discreet and dignified man, as his colleagues remember him, Stratos Pachis acted in several films and television series, always quietly, giving vitality and strength to his small roles (he had played with Thanasis Vengos in “Pare Kosme”, in “Trelos, Palavos kai Vengos” and even in the films “Gorgopotamos”, “Mavro Stachy”, “H ora tis orgis”, etc.). It is worth noting that after his own strenuous efforts, he managed to create a center for children with special needs. (Source: greekactor)
