“A film that celebrates dreams, childhood, and the right to education from a community-based perspective.”

Maleshka is 8 years old and dreams of becoming a teacher, veterinarian, astronaut. Alongside her mother, she will travel from El Salvador to Tijuana in an effort to enroll in school. Along the way, Sarah, a Cameroonian refugee separated from her daughter, joins their struggle to make that dream come true.
